Rules for Authors
General Requirements for Articles
- The journal “Журнал экспериментальной и теоретической физики / Journal of Experimental and Theoretical Physics” publishes articles containing original scientific results that have not been published and are not intended for publication elsewhere. In some cases, the editorial board publishes up-to-date review articles.
- The editorial board of the journal accepts articles in both Russian and English. In the latter case, the quality of the language is subject to additional expertise. In addition, the editorial staff reserves the right to request a Russian-language version of the article if necessary.
- Articles should be presented with the utmost brevity, compatible with clarity of presentation, and finally processed. It is necessary to avoid repeating the data of tables or graphs in the text of the article, as well as presenting numerical results in the form of tables and graphs at the same time. You should not abuse the introduction of new abbreviations in addition to the generally accepted ones, such as NMR, UV, etc.
- The article should be preceded by a short abstract, which should clearly state the purpose and results of the work (the abstract and the "Conclusions" section should not duplicate each other).
- The paper should also be accompanied by a two-copy abstract.
Editorial policy regarding authorship of articles
- If the article has several co-authors, the author's review will be considered as follows: the team independently selects a representative responsible for communicating with the editorial office. The responsible author has the right to represent the entire team of authors of the article.
- Submission of a manuscript to the editorial office means that the responsible author confirms its compliance with the following requirements:
- The paper contains original results that have not been published anywhere before.
- The paper is not and will not be submitted to other journals at the same time until it is reviewed in the journal.
The work accurately reflects the scientific results obtained.
- The paper does not use text and results from other works (including works by the same authors). without corresponding links.
- All the co-authors were involved in the implementation of this work (they contributed to the development of the concept, problem statement, receipt or use of information, interpretation of the results).
- All persons who made a significant contribution to the work were invited to become co-authors of the article.
- All co-authors are aware of and agree with the submission of the manuscript to the journal.
- The authors agree with the journal's system of reviewing and selecting articles for publication.
Procedure for Submitting Articles
- The editorial office accepts articles
- by e-mail to jetp@pran.ru
- in online mode via the Russian Center for Science Information Platform
- The manuscript should be accompanied by an email address (e-mail), postal address, surname, full name and patronymic (if any) of the author with whom it is preferable to correspond, as well as a phone number, business or home.
- The editorial office sends the author the article proofreading by e-mail in the form of a *.ps file. The list of corrections should be sent by the author to the journal's email address within three days after receiving the proofreading.
- Attention! The publisher requires authors to sign the Licensing Agreements with the Russian Academy of Sciences when publishing an article. The signed Agreements can be submitted in person or by e-mail in scanned form (PDF file).
Article Design
- The electronic version of the text must be submitted in LaTeX or MSWord format. If the article is sent by e-mail, it is advisable to submit the text additionally in ps or pdf format.
- Images should be submitted in EncapsulatedPostScript (*.eps) format, 300 dpi resolution, and each image should be a separate file. The file names must match the drawing numbers (fig1. eps, fig2. eps, etc.).
- All pages of the manuscript should be numbered. At the beginning of the article should be indicated: the title of the article, the full list of authors, the names of the organizations where the work was performed (with the exact postal address), the abstract. On separate pages, after the text, a list of references, captions to figures (in a single list), tables and figures (with their numbers), as well as an abstract should be placed.
- The text of the article should be typed in a font of 12 or 14 points in one column at two intervals, on one side of the sheet, with margins on the left side of the sheet no more than 4 cm. It is recommended to format the formulas, taking into account that the final version of the article will be printed in two columns with a width of about 55 characters.
- Symbols and indexes (in the text and in figures) should not contain Russian letters. For example, you should write Popt instead of Pопт.
Vector values should be highlighted in a straight bold font. All somewhat cumbersome formulas should be placed on separate lines.
- Footnotes should be numbered continuously throughout the article. The cited literature should not be given in the form of footnotes, but in a general list at the end of the article with the reference indicated in the text of the article by an ordinal number in straight brackets (for example, [1]). References are given in the order in which they are mentioned in the article. Indicate the initials and surnames of the authors (all authors, if the number of authors does not exceed three, and three, etc., if the number of authors is more than three). The following examples show the order in which literature is designed:
- B. Berestetsky, E. M. Lifshits, and L. P.Pitaevsky, Quantum Electrodynamics, Nauka, Moscow (1984), p.1.
- M. Sergeev, R. I. Chernova, and A. Ya. Sergienko, FTT 30, 835 (1988).

- All illustrations and drawings must be made clearly, in a format that provides a clear understanding of all details; this is especially true for photocopies and grayscale drawings. Pencil drawings are not accepted. The language of captions in figures (including units of measurement) must correspond to the language of the article itself. If possible, replace explanatory labels with numbers and letters that are explained in the caption to the drawing or in the text.
